ABOUT US
The Publication
South African Psychiatry is a publication that aims to connect the discipline of Psychiatry nationally through providing a hub for exchanging news, views and reports on activities – from both the public and private clinical sectors as well as the academic centres and institutions serving the discipline.
The publication seeks to showcase
and provide a
platform
for communicating
what it is
that psychiatrists do and are involved with. However, contributions are
not confined to psychiatrists and certainly those from the broader
community of mental health professionals are welcome.
In addition, it must be acknowledged that industry’s role in supporting
the discipline should not go undocumented.
South African Psychiatry will promote
greater
cohesiveness
through providing a comprehensive
view of the discipline that is communicated nationally.
A cohesive
discipline is a strong
discipline
and South African Psychiatry intends to contribute.
